What is an environmental impact assessment?
An Environmental Impact Assessment is a study carried out before a project is implemented to identify how the project may affect the environment and surrounding communities.
It looks at issues such as land, water, air, biodiversity, livelihoods, health, safety, and social conditions. The assessment also recommends measures to prevent, reduce, manage, and monitor negative impacts.

How do you approach a new project?
Every project begins with understanding the client’s needs, the project location, applicable environmental and social requirements, and the potential concerns of affected communities and stakeholders.
EEC then develops an appropriate scope and methodology, which may include document review, field assessments, data collection, surveys, baseline studies, laboratory testing, stakeholder consultations, data analysis, and regulatory review. Based on the findings, we prepare practical recommendations and the required environmental and social documentation.

What is your project timeline?
Project timelines vary depending on the type, size, location, complexity, regulatory requirements, and scope of the assignment.
A relatively straightforward assessment may require only a few weeks, while a comprehensive ESIA, RAP, Surveys, material Distribution, baseline study, or multi-location assignment may require several months.
At the beginning of each assignment, EEC develops an agreed work plan and schedule showing the major activities, consultations, fieldwork, deliverables, and reporting milestones. Where regulatory review or approval is required, the overall timeline may also depend on the relevant authorities.
How much do your services cost?
Our fees are determined by the scope and complexity of each assignment rather than a fixed price.
Factors that may affect cost include the type of study required, project size and location, fieldwork requirements, number of specialists needed, stakeholder consultations, laboratory testing, travel and logistics, duration, and reporting requirements.

What platforms do you work with?
EEC combines field-based assessments, laboratory services, digital data collection, GIS and mapping tools, and environmental and social analysis to deliver its assignments.
Depending on the project, our teams use digital survey and data-management tools, GPS and GIS technologies, mapping and spatial analysis, laboratory and environmental monitoring equipment, and standard office and reporting platforms.
